Plumage duvet is a guaranteed certified hypoallergenic and anti-rheumatic European product (both the feather and the 100% Makò cotton fabric are absolutely natural products and, compared to acrylic fibres, have the great advantage of absorbing the humidity produced by the sleeper's body - about 0.2 litres per night - and transmitting it back to the environment very slowly, leaving the body in a dry and comfortable microclimate. This process does not allow sweating and keeps the body temperature constant).
The duvet is hypoallergenic
It is incorrect to say that people who suffer from allergies or asthma should forego the natural comfort of duvets. New down does not cause dust mite allergies as is often erroneously claimed, and does not cause allergic reactions of the respiratory tract such as asthma and hay fever. Important research carried out in Europe shows that pillows and duvets filled with New Virgin Feather do not represent an ideal habitat for dust mites: after normal maintenance, no dust mites can be found inside these articles as the tightly woven Inlett fabric represents an almost impenetrable barrier. The microclimate of New Virgin Feather fillings (warmth, rapid elimination of moisture) is a very unfavourable habitat for mites as the mite is moisture-dependent. Furthermore, feathers are not a food that mites like. It is therefore a mistake to advise a person allergic to dust mites against the use of products filled with new down, as there is no scientific support for this.
